Big dreams need a starting point

Big dreams are great. Knowing where to start can make all the difference. Through games, creative challenges, and hands-on activities, kids explore their interests, learn how to set meaningful goals, and discover practical ways to work toward them.

What will kids learn?

Discover What Matters

Explore their interests and brainstorm things they'd love to learn, improve, or accomplish.

Set Meaningful Goals

Narrow their ideas down to three personal goals and learn what makes a goal realistic and achievable.

Create an Action Plan

Break goals into smaller steps, identify possible obstacles, and decide where to start.

Grow Their Confidence

Practice making choices, sharing ideas at their own pace, and recognizing the value of small steps forward.

How will they learn?

No long lectures. Kids learn by doing, in a welcoming, supportive small group.

  • Creative brainstorming. Explore possibilities and discover personal interests.
  • Fun decision-making challenges. Practice choosing priorities and making decisions.
  • Goal-setting activities. Turn ideas into specific goals and manageable steps.
  • Real-life scenarios. Explore what to do when things don't go according to plan.

Why does goal-setting matter?

Confidence grows through experience, not just encouragement. Research suggests that experiences of successfully mastering challenges are strongly associated with adolescents' belief in their own abilities.

From our parents

It is nice for the kids to hear these things from someone with experience. It also gave me great ideas for conversations and games to try.

My child has had a great experience in Life Skills Labs. He comes out happy and excited after the session and is always looking forward to going back. He specifically enjoys the games and group activities and loves interacting with other kids. I highly recommend this class for other families!
